Among the suite of language tools, the English Dictionary App provides a powerful offline solution to search English words with clear meanings, grammar info, and simple explanations.

The English Dictionary app includes a lightweight but rich database of English words, stored directly in your phone memory. This allows users to:

Uses Google's official SDKs only; no third-party or unofficial APIs.
Contains minimal Google AdMob ads just to help support app maintenance and future updates.
App uses your device’s advertising ID to display relevant ads. No personal data is stored or collected.

To deliver a complete language utility experience, the app requires limited permissions and collects minimal data strictly for functionality and user support.
It supports offline functionality by storing all word data in app-specific internal storage, ensuring fast access without the need for an internet connection.
In addition, the app allows users to:
Record voice input via Google’s speech recognition API to convert speech to text for searching words.
Select images from gallery or camera to extract text using in-app OCR tools (text scanning).

Required when users choose an image from the gallery or camera for text scanning. The image is used only at the moment of processing and is never uploaded or stored externally.
Microphone (Voice Input):
Used to capture speech and convert it into text through Google’s voice recognition service. Voice data is used only within the app and is never recorded, stored, or shared.
